Beginning Watercolor Classes

with Carol Ramos

Carol Ramos will instruct a step-by-step painting class at the Fremont Art Association. She will lead class participants through techniques and exercises resulting in a finished painting. Beginner painters welcome!

When: Friday and Saturday mornings 10:00-noon

Where: Fremont Art Association

Materials Needed:

• Plastic table covering for your space! ( I can give you one also)

• Mijello plastic watercolor palette with at least 18 wells-includes lid --$10.50- Amazon

• Watercolor brush -# 12 or #14 round; not recommended to buy ‘sets’ of brushes

• Watercolor Paints in tubes

• Individual Paint tube colors: yellow, orange, alizarin crimson, sap green, violet, burnt sienna, cobalt blue, Ultra-marine blue tube paints; student grade paints—student grade paints Cotman or Reeves (Daniel Smith and Windsor Newton are excellent watercolor paints)

• Cold Pressed 140 lb watercolor paper

• Arches or Fabriano are excellent paper or Canson 140 watercolor block 9x12. 

• Water container—cottage cheese containers are great size

• Viva Signature paper towels—a must have!

• Ruler and pencil

For Purchase, I have: Paint book of 20 sheets, Mejillo palette, tube paints, and some brushes. Let me know 2 days before class so that I can bring these supplies.
